Call for Vendors: Light Up Main Street Event

The eagerly anticipated Light Up Main Street Event in Midvale City is gearing up for another magical holiday season, and we are excited to invite local artisans, crafters, and vendors to join our Holiday Market.

About the Event

The Light Up Main Street Event has become a beloved tradition in our community, attracting residents and visitors alike to celebrate the holiday spirit. This year, the event will take place on Sat., Dec. 9, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Midvale Main Arts and Culture District. The centerpiece of the event is the tree lighting ceremony, accompanied by visits with Santa Claus, hot cocoa, festive carolers, and a delightful Holiday Market.

The Holiday Market is an excellent opportunity for local vendors to showcase their unique products and creations. By participating in this event, you can:

  • Reach a Captive Audience: The Light Up Main Street Event draws a large and diverse crowd of holiday shoppers, providing you with a ready-made customer base.
  • Spread Holiday Cheer: Contribute to the festive atmosphere and help shoppers find the perfect gifts for their loved ones during the holiday season.
  • Support the Local Community: By participating, you'll be part of a cherished community event and support the growth of local businesses.

Vendor Information

  • Vendor Fee and Deposit: There is no fee to participate as a vendor in the Holiday Market. However, if accepted to participate in the Holiday Market, a $50 vendor deposit will be required. This deposit will be refunded the day of the market unless the vendor does not show up, in which case the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Location: Vendors will be set up outside on Midvale Main Street.
  • Amenities: Event organizers will provide and set up heaters and decorative lights for each vendor. Event organizers will move the holiday market inside if the weather does not cooperate.
  • Refreshments: Event organizers will provide hot drinks for vendors throughout the event, including hot chocolate, tea, or coffee.
  • Equipment: Vendors will need to provide their own tents and side tent walls (required).
  • Set-up Time: Booth vendor set-up time is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Operating Hours: Vendors must operate from their assigned space between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • Tear Down: Vendors must not tear down until 9:00 p.m.

How to Apply

If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the Light Up Main Street Event's Holiday Market, please submit a Vendor Application online. The application deadline is Nov. 10, 2023, so be sure to submit your application as soon as possible.

Applications are subject to approval. Without an approved application, you will not be permitted to occupy a space or sell any items at the Holiday Market.

  • We are very limited on space so we will be looking for diverse vendors and will be limiting vendors based on having duplicate goods for sale. Booth applications will be approved based on products, services, available space, receipt of the application, and the applicant’s fit with the Market.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a regular basis. So, applicants should receive a response within 10 days of completing the online application.
