Take a Walk, See New Murals, and Enjoy Ice Cream with Mayor Gettel
Grab your walking shoes and join Mayor Dustin Gettel for an evening of art, conversation, and ice cream in the heart of Midvale.
As part of the upcoming Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival, residents and visitors are invited to Murals and Ice Cream with the Mayor on Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m. The walk begins at Midvale City Hall (7505 S. Holden Street) and winds through the Midvale Main Arts & Culture District.
Along the way, participants will explore more than 45 vibrant murals, including several new pieces being created for this year's festival. It's a chance to experience Midvale's growing public art scene, meet fellow community members, and meet this year's artisist as the work on their murals.
After the walk, everyone is invited to enjoy a free ice cream treat at Altojitos and spend time connecting with neighbors, artists, and city leaders.
"One of the best parts of Midvale is the people who make this community so special," said Mayor Gettel. "This is a fun opportunity to get outside, enjoy some incredible artwork, and spend time together. I hope you'll join us."
The event is free and open to all ages.
Murals and Ice Cream with the Mayor is one of several events leading up to Los Muros on Main, which takes place on Saturday, June 13, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
