Join us as we ring in the holidays at Light Up Main Street on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Be one of the first to see historic Main Street lit up with holiday lights. Enjoy hot cocoa, get your picture taken with Santa, and shop at the Holiday Market. Gather up your family and friends because this is a holiday event you won't want to miss!

Built in 1939, the old Midvale City Hall building now serves as the Midvale Performing Arts Center.

  • 2022 Light Up Main Street Volunteer Application

    The Redevelopment Agency of Midvale City and the Main Street Business Alliance are hosting the annual Light Up Main Street event on Saturday, December 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Midvale's historic Main Street. The event continues to grow every year, and we couldn't put it all together without great staff and community volunteers! 

    We are sure you have questions. So, we compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions with answers below. Please take a moment to read through this information then complete the survey and hit SUBMIT. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know your application has been submitted. 

    How do I apply to be a volunteer at the Light Up Main Street event?

    To join our volunteer team, please complete this short volunteer application. 

    How old do I have to be to volunteer?

    All volunteers must be 16 years or older.

    What does a volunteer actually do?

    We have a variety of positions available to fit everyone’s interests, personality, and skills. In all positions you will be dealing with the public, so friendliness and safety are the top requirements.
