Mayor Stevenson firmly believes that young individuals possess a unique ability to drive positive change and shape the future of our community. With this initiative, the mayor is committed to providing a platform for young leaders to have their voices heard, inspire innovation, and foster civic engagement.

  • Meetings Twice a Month: Hands-on activities and exclusive tours of Fire, Police, and Public Works.
  • Real Policy Projects: Tackle real issues and help shape city policies.

  • Network with Local Leaders: Build relationships and gain insights from community leaders and officials.

Application Deadline

October 9, 2024

Qualifications

  • No experience is required.
  • High School student as of Fall 2024
  • Midvale resident and/or attend Hillcrest High School or Jordan High School
  • Homeschool high school students must live in Midvale.

Time Commitment

NextGen members meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Midvale City Hall (7505 S Holden Street, Midvale), from October through April. Members discuss current events, learn about local government, participate in focus groups, and more.
