Midvale Parks and Open Space Master Plan Presentation

On November 18, 2025, the Midvale Parks and Open Space Master Plan, including an Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP), will be presented to the Midvale City Council. Residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the vision for the future of parks and open space in our community.

This plan is the first of its kind for Midvale, made possible through a Transportation and Land Use Connection (TLC) grant. It provides a comprehensive look at our city’s parks and open spaces, identifying what we have today and how we can grow to better serve all residents.

Over the past year, City staff worked with MHTN Architects and Zions Public Finance to:
βœ… Inventory Midvale’s existing parks and open spaces
βœ… Analyze current amenities and future needs
βœ… Identify underserved areas and propose strategies for park expansion and partnerships

The plan also prepares the groundwork for future parks impact fees, which help fund new and improved recreational spaces as our community grows.

The Midvale Parks and Open Space Master Plan, including an Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP) was presented to the Planning Commission on October 22, 2025.
