Live Music and Local Talent Bring Energy to Los Muros on Main

While muralists transform walls into works of art during the Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival, visitors will also enjoy an evening soundtrack provided by some of Utah's most talented local musicians.

On Friday, June 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., live acoustic performances will take place throughout Midvale Main, creating a vibrant atmosphere as festivalgoers explore murals, local businesses, food vendors, and community activities.

The live music lineup is coordinated by Tiny Porch Productions, a Salt Lake City organization dedicated to supporting local musicians and creating intimate live music experiences. Through its community-focused approach, Tiny Porch Productions has helped connect audiences with Utah's diverse and thriving music scene.

Performances will be spread throughout the festival district, giving attendees the opportunity to discover new artists while experiencing the creativity and energy of Los Muros on Main.

At the Midvale Senior Center, Kelly Bellerose will perform from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A Salt Lake City-based artist, Bellerose draws deeply from American roots music, creating a soulful and authentic sound. Later in the evening, Ian McIver takes the stage from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m. Known for his smoky vocals and impressive blues guitar work, McIver brings more than 26 years of live performance experience to audiences across Utah.

At Cactus & Tropicals, Quinn Chivers will perform from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Chivers blends reggae, rock 'n' roll, roots music, and classic country influences into a distinctive singer-songwriter style. From 7:00 to 8:45 p.m., Renee Mackin & The Bottom Dwellers will entertain audiences with a blend of blues, folk, and bluegrass featuring soulful harmonies and standout mandolin performances.

Festival visitors can stop by the 2 Row Brewing Beer Garden from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to hear Michael L. Austin. Austin's indie folk sound combines Americana traditions with British pop influences, earning comparisons to legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor.

Behind the Midvale Main Art House, Trip Van Winkle will perform from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Known for immersive live shows, Van Winkle combines folk storytelling, blues influences, and memorable pop melodies. Katherine Courtney follows from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m., showcasing a soulful voice inspired by country, soul, and classic rock artists such as Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt.

"Los Muros on Main is about celebrating creativity in all its forms," said Midvale City Mayor Dustin Gettel. "Including live music throughout the festival helps create a dynamic experience where visual art, local culture, and community come together."

Los Muros on Main festivities begin before Friday's main event. On Tuesday, June 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the public is invited to a Mural Watch Party Food Truck Night, where visitors can enjoy food trucks, live music, and a first look at artists creating murals throughout Midvale's arts district. Also on Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., attendees can participate in the free Craft Lake City Crafting a Mural From Start to Finish Workshop, led by local muralists Smock and Roll, Denyse R.D. Art, and SISTER Collective, to learn how mural concepts are transformed from sketches into large-scale public art. On Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 p.m., residents can join Ice Cream and Murals with Mayor Dustin Gettel, an evening walking tour featuring public art, community conversation, and ice cream in the heart of Midvale.

This weeklong celebration culminates on Friday, June 13, with live music, mural tours, family activities, local businesses, food vendors, and the opportunity to watch artists complete stunning new murals throughout Midvale Main.
