Live Murals

Watch talented muralists transform blank walls into vibrant works of art. Live murals will be created throughout the festival, giving visitors a front-row view of the creative process.

Relax and enjoy a refreshing drink from while watching artists paint live murals nearby. The beer garden will also feature outdoor games including cornhole, spike ball, kan jam, and more.

Enjoy live performances from two bands or musicians performing at different locations along Midvale Main Street. Each performance will last about two hours, creating a lively soundtrack for the evening.

The Food Truck Plaza will feature a variety of local and regional food trucks serving delicious cuisine from around the world. The plaza offers plenty of seating, shade, and a welcoming space to relax and enjoy your meal.

The Midvale City Redevelopment Agency (RDA) is pleased to announce that vendor applications are now open for the 2026 Los Muros on Main:

Midvale City Mural Festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Midvale Main Arts & Culture District.

The festival invites Utah-based artists, makers, vintage curators, and arts-focused organizations to participate in this celebrated community event. Now in its fifth year, the Midvale City Mural Festival has grown into a vibrant celebration of public art and local creativity, featuring more than 45 murals and drawing visitors from across the region.

The Midvale City RDA is seeking vendors who contribute to the festival’s creative energy and community spirit:

  • Original Work: All merchandise must be handmade or crafted by the vendor. Commercial, mass-produced, or manufactured items are not accepted.
  • Vintage Vendors: Curated vintage items including clothing, furniture, accessories, and home décor are welcome.
  • Information Booths: Government agencies and arts or cultural organizations are encouraged to apply, with priority given to those supporting the arts.

The festival committee reserves the right to select vendors and booth locations to ensure diversity and minimize overlap among offerings. All applications are subject to approval.

Application Details

  • Deadline: March 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
  • Notification of Acceptance: By April 6, 2026, via email.
  • Deposit: A $50 refundable deposit is required upon acceptance. Deposits must be paid by April 20, 2026, and will be refunded after the event upon completion of vendor responsibilities.

Please note that food vendors will not be accepted for this event.

    The Redevelopment Agency of Midvale City (RDA) is accepting applications for muralists for the fifth annual Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival,scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Midvale Main Arts & Culture District, 7505 S Holden Street, Midvale, Utah.

    The festival invites local and national artists and artist teams to create murals in one of Utah’s most active public art districts. With 45 completed murals, the district has become a destination for large-scale public art, collaboration, and community-driven creative expression.

    Murals will be painted June 6 through June 13, 2026, with artists completing their work during the festival while engaging directly with attendees. The festival brings together muralists, musicians, local businesses, and visitors for a shared, street-level experience that reflects Midvale’s character, diversity, and lived experiences.

    Artist Support and Stipend

    Selected artists or artist teams will receive a stipend of up to $4,500, based on wall size. The stipend covers artist fees and expenses related to design, supplies, equipment rental, insurance, and installation.

    Additional support includes:

    • Wall preparation, including power washing and surface prep completed by the RDA
    • Lifts, ladders, or scaffolding provided at the RDA’s expense
    • Anti-graffiti coating, when required, with an additional $150 paid to the artist for application
    • Travel support for artists outside Utah’s Wasatch Front, including a $150 per diem for up to six nights and seven days, plus a $350 travel subsidy for artists located outside the state of Utah

    Artist Eligibility and Requirements

    The application is open to local, national, and international mural artists and artist teams of all backgrounds. Applicants must have prior mural painting experience and submit eight to 10 examples of previous mural work, along with an artist bio or letter of interest. Selected artists must have, or be willing to obtain, liability insurance and complete the E-Verify process as required by Utah State Code.

    • Application Opens: Thursday, January 22, 2026
    • Application Closes: Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MST
    • Artist Selection and Wall Pairing: Wednesday, March 4 to Thursday, March 12, 2026
    • Artists Notified: Monday, March 16, 2026
    • Artist Agreements Due: Friday, March 27, 2026
    • Mural Designs Due for Approval: Thursday, April 9, 2026
    • Mural Painting: Saturday, June 6 to Saturday, June 13, 2026
      (All artists must begin painting no later than Monday, June 8)

    Artists are required to attend the Los Muros on Main Mural Festival to complete their mural and engage with festival attendees.
